Before all these decisions, we make the fundamental decision to love God, and seek Him. This is the all important decision. Hebrews 11:6.
When one first becomes aware that there is the Creator of all, his heart’s desire is either to draw toward Him or to run from Him.
That most basic of decisions dictates the response to all else. Yet it is not necessarily a one-time decision. Anyone can come to a point, like the prodigal son. He “came to himself,” and in doing so desired his father’s home. He came humbly to his father. The other son, though “at home,” was at heart not with his father. He needed a “come to himself” moment.
