Proper Observance Of A Memorial

Memorials are created, most often by men, to remember events that have happened, and often to honor men who have given their lives for a cause. Memorials such as the rainbow and the Pasover feast were put in place to memorialize promises from God. Are we properly partaking in the most important memorial that has been established for us as Christians?
