Of the three synoptic gospels, only Matthew goes into detail about Judas' betrayal, remorse and sucide. And there are four valuable lessons from the story of Judas: 1. There is a difference between remorse and repentence, 2. When we act emotionally, we fail to see the effects of our actions, 3. Our actions cannot be undone, and 4. Suicide is not an acceptable response to sin.
