The Power in God's Word

Alfred Bernard Nobel, the inventor of dynamite, derived the word from the Greek word "dunamis" which means "strength, power, ability; inherent power residing in a thing by virtue of its nature". The same Greek word is used in Romans 1:16 to describe the power of God in its ability to save us. When the gospel is presented to us in various venues (worship services, bible classes, bible studies, gospel meetings), we need to keep in mind that this word does indeed contain power and have reverence for it.
