The Eternal Consequences of Sin - Psalm 51
Most are familiar with the story of David and his sin with Bathsheba and the sins that followed. An examination of Psalm 51, written by David in the wake of those sin, reveal what it takes to become a man after God's own heart in the handling of our sin. Is our sin taken lightly? Or is it considered to be, as David put it, transgression, iniquity, evil, bloodguiltness. Our sin, forgotten by God, can still motivate us to strive to be pleasing in God's sight.
