Looking at passages like Ephesians 6:1-4 and Colossians 3:-20-21 and comparing them to 1 Timothy 3, Hebrews 13:17, and 1 Peter 5:1-4, we see a strong similarity between the Parent/Child and the Shepherd/Sheep (Elder/Congregation) relationships.
