Understanding the "job description" of the primary leadership position in the local congregation is important for a couple of key reasons:  1) Any man "aspiring to the office" should be well-informed about what is entailed; and, 2) The local congregation should be well-informed with regarding what to expect and not expect from their leadership.  It is hoped this lesson will help on both fronts.
