Being Counted Worthy

Luke 7:1-10 tells us of a Centurion who had need of Jesus' mercy to heal his slave. The Jewish leaders counted him worthy because of the great things that he had done for the Jewish people. But did that make him worthy of Jesus' miraculous healing? When we consider our own worthiness, we need to be careful how we our considering our own worthiness, we should strive to be known for our faith and our works of faith, and we must realize that none of us are worthy to be spiritually healed through God's love.
