The Problem With Victim-hood

Why are we so prone to thinking we are a victim?

King Saul did just that in 1 Sam 15, blaming everyone but himself for his disobedience.

Are we that different from Saul? 

How often we insert a number of excuses for the reasons we act a certain way or don't act. 

Eph 3:14-21 It's just the way I am. Victim of Genetics/Origin.

Jam 1:14 -16 Wrong place, wrong time. Victim of chance. 

1 Cor 10:11,13 It's the best I could do, given the circumstanc. The lesser of two evils. Victim of circumstance.

Rom 12:17-21 Victim of others failures. 

The choice is ours. Let's all be accountable and serve the Lord. Victim-hood or victory.
